Are you old enough to buy my panties? You are not verified…

Dear Diary,

I am pretty sure this buyer is not old enough to buy these goodies. Yet, here they are like a little horn dog wanting to sniff these panties. What to do what to do? I need this money!!

~Age verify for me little man

I have said before verification as a seller is something that should be done. It helps solidify you as being of age to sell your products and it verifies that you are who you say you are.

Now let’s look into the fact that buyers may not be of age. Let’s be real here. We all know that kids sneak around on the internet getting into adult situations. It is a given that we will not be able to stop this from happening. Yes it is quite shitty but it is all a part of the being in the industry. How do we know that a buyer is of age? Truly we don’t know. All we can do is believe that they didn’t lie when joining the sites we sell on. If we are honest with ourselves we know that is not a completely rational way of thinking.

Okay say that you suspect a buyer is underage. It is within your rights as a seller to ask them to age verify for you. This is not a time to be getting all scared of losing a sale. You can end up losing a whole lot more if you get caught up selling to minors. Be aware there are some countries that allow underage children to be on adult sites. Despite that reality you have to abide by the laws of your country/state/county.

How do I get buyers to verify who I suspect are underage?

You point blank ask them to show you their ID with proof of their birth year. Do not hesitate. Either you ask for the ID or you tell them that you will not sell to them. There is no way around it. If you take the risk then accept the consequences. I am not trying to scare you but I am pointing out the reality that you need to do your due diligence in making sure you are not selling to minors.

If your gut instincts are telling you to verify their age go ahead and follow through. What is the worse that can happen? They run away? Good!! You do not need that type of drama in your business anyway.

Be aware there are some buyers who are of age that will come to you and say they are underage. They are disgusting individuals. They simply want a rise out of you. They want you either get upset or to feed their fantasy. Do not engage. By choosing not to engage in their fantasy you are stopping them in their tracks. No it does not mean you are “Kink shaming”. There are some boundaries that you should not cross. This is one of them.

Be strong. Do what must be done to make sure you are protecting yourself.

Until next time….
