Do you know your scent? Part 1

Dear Diary,

I hate being asked what my scent is like. It makes me feel like I’m on a shelf with a huge selection of other flowers hoping that I will be picked. Good thing I know what is is so I don’t have to fake or second guess.

Today, I’m here to talk to you about knowing your scent.

Do you know your scent? Knowing your scent can be a somewhat of a vital question that you have to answer because some buyers will ask you what your scent is like. A lot of people don’t really know how to answer that question because they really don’t think about it so they have no clue how to answer that question.

The thing is, is some of us simply have lighter scents. Some of us have stronger scents. Then at different times in our cycles our scents will be totally different again. So our scent can vary from different phases of the month. With that in mind, you have to make sure that when you’re being asked what is your scent, that you tell to them what you feel your scent is. If you feel your scent is lighter than just be honest and tell them that. They will either pass or continue to want to work with you. Most times they will ask for longer days of wear so that you can be able to try to get your scent in there a little bit better. I strongly suggest that you try to figure out what your scent is.

Now, I know what my scent is. Most of the time my scent is musky, not musty smelling like onions or cumin. It is more of a musky, naturally floral scent. I would even say that it leans more towards like a floral, lavender type scent. That is naturally my scent. Now that scent can change depending on what I’m doing, or depending on the phase of my cycle. So if I’m exercising of course, it will have like a more musty scent, but it’s still mixed with like a floral smell. If you can pin point your scent it will save you a lot of wasted time when asked that question.

It can take time to get a gauge of how you smell. You may have to do some creative thinking like getting some trusted people to tell you how they think you smell. If they do that for you. Try not to be offended if they tell you things you do not want to hear. It will at least give you somewhat of an idea of your smell.

Get out of your comfort zone and ask.

Until next time…
