Dear diary,
PayPal is my bae. I have had a PayPal account for many years. They have truly served me in business/personal affairs very well. I have not had any issues with PayPal.
I have been tempted like others to use my PayPal for my adult business ventures. I know it’s not wise. So I have steered clear of that option.
Many have done it then cry like babies when they get shut down. Oh dear diary, it’s so not worth the pain of going through all of that.
~Not doing anything to lose my bae PayPal
PayPal, PayPal, PayPal. Why are so many people into trying to get around your rules? I know it’s an easy way to send and receive money but they don’t seem to understand that you’re not going to let them slide.
I would love to go into all of the details of how PayPal has worked well for me. Alas I will stick to why you don’t want to use PayPal for your adult services.
Plain and simple PayPal does not allow people to send or receive money for adult services. It’s against their policy agreement. I get that it seems stupid for them not to want that flow of money.
Let’s be real here though it’s much deeper than that. If they allowed it there would be a ton of people doing things they shouldn’t do. It’s all about them adhering to certain business practices. Allowing the flow of money from adult services is not one of them.
To be honest I agree with their policy. There are many other ways to receive money.
Below you will see how to create a PayPal account. Proceed with caution if you chose to use it for your adult business.
How to set up a PayPal account:
- Visit PayPal’s website and click the Sign Up button in the top-right corner.
- Select the account type you want — Personal or Business — and click Continue.
- Add in your name, email address, and password, and then click Continue.
- Add in your address and other required info, and then click Continue.
- Optional: Click the blue Get started button, add in your credit card info, and click Add card.
- Verify your email address by clicking the link in the email sent to you by PayPal.
How do I confirm my email address?
When you receive the email:
- Click the link in the email.
- Enter your PayPal password.
- Click Confirm.
To resend the email from a web browser:
- Go to your Settings page
- In the ‘Email’ section, click Confirm beside your email address.
- Click Confirm this email address.
How do I link a bank account to my PayPal account?
Here’s how to link a bank account to your PayPal account:
- Click Wallet at the top of the page (if you’re on a mobile device, tap Menu then Wallet).
- Click Link a bank account.
- Select your bank, or click Don’t see your bank? at the bottom.
- Depending on the bank you select, you may have the option to link your bank instantly using your online banking login information. If the instant option isn’t available, just enter your bank account details manually and click Agree and Link.
Option 1: Link a bank account instantly
To link your bank account instantly, you’ll need to enter your user ID and password for your online banking. We’ll match this information with your bank to confirm your account ownership. Once this information is entered correctly, your bank account will be confirmed instantly.
Option 2: Link and confirm a bank account manually
If you enter your bank account number manually, you’ll be prompted to confirm this bank account. You must complete this step before you can use your bank account to make payments or add money to your PayPal account.
Within 3 business days, review your bank statement to find 2 small deposits (each between $0.01 and $0.99 USD) that we sent to your bank account. You can also contact your bank to find out the exact amounts of these deposits. With this information, you can complete the confirmation process online or follow the steps below:
- Click Wallet at the top of the page.
- Click the bank you want to confirm.
- Enter the exact amounts of the 2 deposits made to your account. For example, if you receive two deposits of $.05 and $.15, enter .05 and .15 on the screen.
- Click Submit.
Note:
- Some banks combine the 2 small deposit amounts into 1 lump sum. If you only receive 1 small deposit, contact us to confirm your bank or try to link your bank instantly.
- The small deposits are temporary and will be removed from your bank account. If the deposits are $.05 and $.15, you’ll also see a debit of $.20 by PayPal on your bank statement.
