Why do I have to pay to sell on panty selling platforms?

Dear diary,

I must admit I was a bit perplexed as to why I had to pay to do what I want to do on some sites. I just want to sell my stuff. It’s not fair that I have to pay and the buyers don’t.

You mean to tell me that I have to pay twice? Once to get the items I have. Then again to actually post them for people to buy. Ughh. This is way too much. I can’t. I won’t. No one can make meee!!

Note to self: stop whining. Just do it…

So here we go again. As a seller I know the frustration of getting excited about making some money. Then you realize that it’s actually going to cost you some money to get started. I get it. Sometimes there is no money to do all of that.

Lean in and listen up. Sometimes you have to make a sacrifice to get what you want. That may mean starting out small then allowing yourself to build up from there. It’s okay. Do what you can.

Understand that you should pay the fee it costs you to become a premium seller on the site that is hosting your items. It’s cost money for them to have their servers. It costs money for them to advertise for us. If they didn’t do it you would have to find your own way to get your stuff out there. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be advertising in your own way. I’m saying you are paying for a service just as you expect your buyers to pay.

I urge you to pay the fee because it allows you to have unlimited loading of your products whereas if you didn’t you only get to upload just a few items. This can be so frustrating because you want to try to sell as much as you can.

Now don’t get me wrong some sites have it so that the sellers pay but the buyers do not pay to be members. It’s quite annoying because this allows them to have freedoms that we as sellers don’t have. This makes it hard to even get a sale. It’s okay. You don’t have to join those sites if you don’t want too. This is why I strongly suggest doing your own research. By doing your research it allows you to figure out what is best for you.

Do the work…
